The main objective of this scheme is to encourage MSMEs to Acquire Product Certification Licenses from National / International Bodies, thereby improving their competitiveness. नहीं, उद्योग आधार पंजीकरण को एमएसएमई पंजीकरण द्वारा प्रतिस्थापित किए जाने के बाद, सभी एमएसएमई को एमएसएमई के लिए सरकारी लाभों के लिए पात्र होने के लिए एमएसएमई पंजीकरण प्राप्त करना होगा।
सेवा या विनिर्माण क्षेत्र में चलने वाला प्रत्येक लघु, मध्यम या सूक्ष्म व्यवसाय उद्यम पंजीकरण के लिए योग्य है।
आपके द्वारा उद्यम पंजीकरण प्रमाणपत्र सफलतापूर्वक प्राप्त करने के बाद आपके लघु व्यवसाय को भारत में एमएसएमई के रूप में आधिकारिक तौर पर मान्यता दी जाती है, जो आपको सभी प्रासंगिक सरकारी प्रोत्साहन प्राप्त करने का अधिकार देता है।
डीसी-एमएसएमई/एमएसएमई-डीआई कार्यालय बैंकों और अन्य वित्तीय संस्थानों से सहायता के लिए आवेदन स्वीकार करता है। उद्यमियों को वित्त प्राप्त करने के लिए उपयुक्त संस्थानों से सीधे संपर्क करना होगा। सीजीटीएमएसई का लक्ष्य इस क्षेत्र के लिए ऋण को अधिक सुलभ बनाना और ऋण आपूर्ति के तरीके को बेहतर बनाना है।
अब, मध्यम आकार के व्यवसायों को सालाना 50 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश करना होगा और 250 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व अर्जित करना होगा। एमएसएमईडी अधिनियम, 2006, एमएसएमई को परिभाषित करने के वर्तमान मानदंडों का आधार है।
एमएसएमई का तात्पर्य सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मध्यम उद्यम है।
एमएसएमई सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम आकार के व्यवसाय हैं जो वस्तुओं के उत्पादन, निर्माण, प्रसंस्करण और संरक्षण या सेवा उद्योग में कार्यरत हैं। सरकार आने वाले वर्षों में देश के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में एमएसएमई की हिस्सेदारी को 50% तक बढ़ाना चाहती है। एमएसएमई वर्तमान में भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में एक बड़ा योगदान दे रहे हैं।
एक व्यक्ति, साझेदारी फर्म, निगम, ट्रस्ट या सोसाइटी जिसका न्यूनतम निवेश सूक्ष्म के लिए ₹1 करोड़, लघु के लिए ₹10 करोड़ और मध्यम उद्यमों के लिए ₹50 करोड़ हो, जबकि अधिकतम वार्षिक राजस्व सूक्ष्म के लिए ₹5 करोड़, लघु के लिए ₹10 करोड़ और मध्यम उद्यमों के लिए ₹250 करोड़ से कम हो, उसे उद्यम पंजीकरण में एमएसएमई के रूप में परिभाषित किया गया है। राष्ट्रीय सूचना विज्ञान केंद्र (एनआईसी) ने इस वेबसाइट को डिज़ाइन, निर्मित और होस्ट किया है। 29 दिसंबर 2022 - अंतिम अद्यतन।

किसी भी व्यवसाय को एक से ज़्यादा उद्यम पंजीकरण जमा करने की अनुमति नहीं है। एक ही पंजीकरण उत्पादन, सेवाओं या दोनों सहित किसी भी संख्या में संचालन निर्दिष्ट या जोड़ सकता है।
भारत में, सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम आकार के व्यवसायों के पास एक विशेष 19-अंकीय संख्या होती है जिसे उद्यम पंजीकरण संख्या (URN) कहा जाता है। यह नागरिकों के लिए 12-अंकीय आधार संख्या की तरह ही है। सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम आकार के व्यवसायों से संबंधित प्रत्येक जानकारी इस 16-अंकीय संख्या में समाहित होती है। URN इस प्रकार दिखता है - UDYAM-XX-00-0000000।
(i) a micro enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed one crore rupees and turnover does not exceed five crore rupees;
(ii) a small enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed ten crore rupees and turnover does not exceed fifty crore rupees; and
(iii) a medium enterprise, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed fifty crore rupees and turnover does not exceed two hundred and fifty crore rupees.
1. MSME registration process is fully online, paperless and based on self-declaration.
2. No documents or proof are required to be uploaded for registering an MSME.
3. Only Adhaar Number will be enough for registration.
4. PAN & GST linked details on investment and turnover of enterprises will be taken automatically from Government data bases.

6. Having PAN & GST number is mandatory from 01.04.2021.
7. Those who have EM-II or UAM registration or any other registration issued by any authority under the Ministry of MSME, will have to re-register themselves.
1. All existing enterprises registered under EM–Part-II or UAM shall register again on the Udyam Registration or after the 1st day of July, 2020.
2. All enterprises registered till 30th June, 2020, shall be reclassified in accordance with this notification.
3. The existing enterprises registered prior to 30th June,2020, shall continue to be valid only for a period up to the 31stday of March, 2021.
4. An enterprise registered with any other organisation under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises shall register itself under Udyam Registration.
